Welcome to Amber Cottage Company!

My name is Amber Rausch, and I handcraft these non-toxic products in the Inland Empire of California. I began my candle making journey back in 2016 when I was in college up in the beautiful Northern California Redwoods of Humboldt County! 

The passion for candle making all started with a love for candles, but I could not stand the literal headache I often experienced when lighting the toxic fumes given off by store bought candles. Therefore, I tried making my own with clean ingredients and never stopped! I became known as, "The Candle Lady" by the locals, even getting calls to teach science camps my trade! Although I moved back to Southern California to be near family again, and also have experienced other career paths, candle making has always been a constant in my life.

The business aspect of this journey has been a continuous evolution, but it has been my dream to make candles full time from home and offer you clean burning candles with only the safest ingredients in the candle industry. Each and every order placed has meant the world to me and has allowed me to launch this online store!
